Reforming regulation of professions: Results of mutual evaluation and way forward

On 18 May 2016, the European Commission will host a conference on the results of the mutual evaluation of regulated professions. The conference will focus on the work EU countries have done in the last two years to review their national regulation and on what they propose in terms of regulatory reform. Stakeholders, including national authorities and professional organisations, will discuss the mutual evaluation of regulated professions, its results and national action plans to address outdated or disproportionate regulation. Stakeholders will also have the opportunity to discuss the follow-up measures to improve access to professions announced by the European Commission in the Single Market Strategy last October.

ETAF Launching Conference on 28 September 2016 in Brussels

On 28 September 2016, ETAF will host its inaugural conference on the future European tax agenda and the challenges involved for tax professionals in Europe.

Renowned speakers and a high-ranking panel with representatives from politics, business and academia will shed light on the European Union’s priorities of tax policy for the years ahead. Moreover, upcoming questions on taxation of the digital economy will also be addressed.

The ETAF conference will take place within the opening event of the annual congress of the „Ordre des Experts-Comptables – CSOEC, our French ETAF member. More than 5.000 professionals from Europe and overseas countries are expected to attend this congress.
